• R265 per person
• R110 per vehicle

It is payable at the gate of the Olifants West Nature Reserve.

DEPOSIT POLICY

TERMS & CONDITIONS: A deposit of 50% of the total booking amount is required within 7 days to secure the booking. The balance of the total booking amount is then kindly payable 30 days before arrival. Any other additional costs are payable upon departure in cash, alternatively we do have credit card facilities at the lodge. No transfer or bank handling levies are included in our accommodation, tour or transfer rates and are therefore for clients own account e.g. credit card handling fee of 4.25%. Payments can be made via EFT, Cash or Credit Card. Kindly note that any outstanding accommodations, tours or transfers amount still due will be added onto extras bill to kindly be settled at lodge.

Sausage Tree Safari Camp, its owners and staff can not be held liable for any injury or loss to person or property encountered during your stay or in your travels to or from the Lodge nor can we be held responsible for any loss or injury whilst engaging in any independent third party transfer , tour , activity or similar organized on your behalf either on or off our property.

CANCELLATION POLICY (Subject to change… it applies in all instances)

• Cancellation of booking must be in writing. Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification.
• If a cancellation of any booking or any part thereof is received with more than 120 days notice then all monies will be refunded.
  
• If a cancellation of any booking or any part thereof is received with less than 120 days notice days prior to arrival, 25% of total booking is forfeited
• If a cancellation of any booking or part thereof is received less than 60 days notice from date of arrival, 50% of the total booking will be forfeited.
• If a cancellation of any booking or part thereof is received less than 30 days notice from date of arrival, 100% of the total booking will be forfeited.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

The client must ensure that they have adequate travel insurance to cover the above cancellation penalties. Clients must have adequate insurance to cover any emergency , casualty evacuation and/or hospitalization that may occur during their stay at our camp

Effective From 1st July 2021

Change of booking dates: Once a booking has been confirmed, a booking may be changed to alternative dates up and until 90 days before booking arrival date at no cost. Cancellation fees will apply as per above should a booking date need to be changed within 90 days of booking arrival date.

Any refund payments made will be excluding any bank charges and will be in Rand and we do not accept any liability for any exchange rate loss.

CHILD POLICY

We regret no children under the age of 6 unless the whole Safari Camp has been booked by the same group / family, in this case children under 6 are not allowed on game drives. Children of 6 years or older must be permanently overseen by their parent[s] and so have adult supervision day and night, and they please must not disturb the calm or rest of other guests at the lodge and while on safari. In case of non observance of these rules for general peace and safety, we do unfortunately reserve the right to terminate the stay of the infringing party, who will be refunded the rest of their booking “pro rata”. Children (Ages 6 up to and including 12 years) sharing with Adult(s) = 50% of Adult Sharing Rate. 1 Child must kindly share with min 1 adult per tent.

CONDITIONS

• Rates / quotes do not include any medical, travel or personal insurances.
• All additional activities are subject to availability and can be booked either before or during stay at Sausage Tree Safari Camp.
• We do advise if possible planning your itinerary in advance. Please do not hesitate to contact us for advice in arranging your itinerary.
• No additional activities unless stipulated are mandatory or included in the rate.
• Due to the fact that there are potentially dangerous mammals in the reserve e.g. lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo, hippo and hyena, we are not allowed to do walks with any person under the age of 16 years.
• All rates / quotes are subject to change due to any unforeseen circumstances.

On arrival guests will be asked to read and sign an indemnity agreement. Management retain the right to refuse admission and will not be liable for any claim or refund should the indemnity form not be signed.
