BLYDE DAM BOAT CRUISE, BLYDE FOREST HIKE AND HOEDSPRUIT REPTILE PARK TOUR

After your morning game drive and breakfast you are collected by a guide and private car and driven 45 minutes to the Blyde River Dam to board a boat for a tour around lake surrounded by pristine wilderness.

This is the side of the Blyde River Canyon that is off the Panorama Route and is therefore uncrowded. From the boat you will take in the unique rock formations of the iconic Three Rondavels. You will also cruise up to a Tufa waterfall and learn how it is categorized as a "reverse" waterfall. Keep an eye out for hippos and crocodiles.

EXTRA ADD ON ACTIVITIES TO MAKE IT A 3/4 DAY TOUR:

Depending on the time of the year and being granted access by Mpumalanga Tourism you can add an extra activity after the tour. A beautiful short hike to the waterfall and adding an educational experience by visiting the Reptile Park. This is against an extra cost. Please specify this if you are interested.

After the cruise you will hike through an enchanting forest to a waterfall and pool where you are welcome to take a dip.

This forest area is home to one of South Africa's rarest and most beautiful birds , the Narina Trogon.

Then onto the final stop , The Hoedspruit Reptile Park , a center of rehabilitation and reptile research that hosted Sir David Attenborough on two occasions for his epic documentary making.

Return to our camp one hour before afternoon game drive departure.
