Directions from Johannesburg:

Join the N12 and follow it to Witbank. The N12 joins the N4 which follows onto Belfast. At Belfast turn on to the R540 and continue to Dullstroom and Lydenburg (Mashishing). Pass through Lydenburg and on to the R36 towards Ohrigstad. In Ohrigstad follow the R527 over the Abel Erasmus pass and through the JG Strydom tunnel towards Hoedspruit. Pass through Hoedspruit and turn left onto the R40 (R530). After 17km turn right into the Main Balule Nature Reserve Gate (Balule Olifants West). You will be handed (please ask the gate attendant) an envelope containing detailed instructions of how to get to the camp. PLEASE NOTE: A conservation levy will be charged in cash or by credit card on entering the reserve by the Balule Conservancy of R 50-00 per vehicle and R 100-00 per person. The vehicle levy is already covered should you be doing road transfers through us privately, however, this unfortunately does not apply to Ashton’s road shuttle service. Follow the Olifants road from the gate for +/- 4km until Sable Road is reached and turn left. Approximately 800m down Sable road you will reach the Sausage Tree turn off on your left (Sign marked). Follow the road for 300m to the camp. YOU HAVE ARRIVED!
