Set in the famous Blyde River Canyon this waterfall is accessed by a trail through rainforest with vines and creepers that create a unique enchanted forest effect . A dip in the waterfall pool is wonderfully refreshing , the perfect antidote to the heat of the Lowveld . Birds that can be seen on this walk include the very rare and most beautiful Narina Trogon.
A drive up to the Blyde River Dam to take in this pristine wilderness from the side of the canyon that is off the Panorama route and therefore uncrowded. From here you can take in a different perspective of the Three Rondavels , incredible rock formations.
On route we stop at 44 degrees South , a charming cluster of arts and craft shops as well as an unexpected impressive collection of classic cars and motorbikes…Lunch is at the Upside Down open air cafe serving the best pancakes and home made lemonade in the Hoedspruit area with a spectacular view of two enormous Baobab trees.
Then onto the final stop , the Khamai Reptile Park , the owner , Donald Strydom is an acknowledged leading reptile expert and has hosted and worked with Sir David Attenborough.
This tour will take approximately six hours and you will be collected from our camp just after breakfast and dropped back within an hour before the afternoon game drive departs.
